Dr. Philip Mayer

About me

I am a post-doctoral researcher at the programming and software engineering group.

My research interests lie in software development and understanding the impact SE methods, programming languages, tools, and environments have on software quality, including maintainability, changeability, and developer productivity.

Research efforts

My current research efforts are centered around multi-language software development and cross-language linking. You can find more information on the XLL project web site.

I've also been involved in various other projects, among them the EU projects SENSORIA and ASCENS.

During various research efforts in the past years I have developed several tools, either as research vehicles or as practical demonstrations of research ideas. You can find these in the list of tools.

Other Activities

I am also involved in creating software for virtual reality at Sourcenity.

You can find a list of my publications here.
